To My Youth Pastor (Bro. Joe),
I don't know if you will ever read this but I just wanted to let you know I agree with your post on FB about "most of the young people YOU have know and who have backslidden have come from broken or disrupted homes, so parents please stay together." Yes, there are people that have left church and their parents had a great marriage but I do believe that this (parents staying together) is a major contributing factor! I became very frustrated at the comments people put and directly stated TRC. But then I had to remind myself that these people must be ignorant because you've worked with young people all over the states and not JUST in TRC. I could continue to vent my frustration because this is my youth pastor that people are so blatantly arguing with his own personal opinion and experience but I will hold my tongue and pray for them.

Thank you Bro. Joe for preaching the truth when so many of your close friends have left without ever looking back. Thank you for your burden for the young people and your commitment. I support you and am behind you 110%. And thank you for not only having a burden for our young people, but their parents as well.

I love and appreciate you and Sis. Tawni and all that you do,

Carly

Tsunami and Love

Waking up this morning to tsunami warnings and images of the devastation in Japan was frightening and heartbreaking, and it’s a reminder of how unpredictable life can be – how much of what happens in the world is outside our control. Let it also be a reminder to tell the people we love that we love them, to make our own little corners of the world as lovely and loving places as possible, to give help whenever we can, and to send thoughts and prayers when we can’t.

**Got this from one of the blogs I read and thought it was so true..

God is good to me!

As I sit here and take a break from studying, I can't stop thinking of how good God is to me! I am so so very blessed!! No Limits 2011 just passed and it was most definitely the best we have ever had! (which every year it gets better and better). From the start of the first service on Wednesday night to the altar call on Friday night, God was calling us all to a deeper level with Him. Our generation has become so caught up in the fast paced society of America and have neglected the most important thing... prayer. I am guilty of this as well! Not only have we neglected prayer but some of the most important aspects of being an Apostolic Pentecostal.. holiness and separation from the world. I truly do believe we are in the "in times." We are seeing a great falling away in every church! The scary thing is that none of us are exempt from this falling away. We must stay prayed up and not listen to the voices around us. On friday night of No Limits, Bro. Matt Tuttle preached a sermon I will never forget, "Like a Fish Out Of Water." If you weren't able to make it to NL I recommend buying the CD.. it will make you so grateful for your walls of protection that your leadership has placed in your life. I am forever grateful for the Wilsons and Youngs! They have stood strong in the face of adversity while people all around them were compromising and making fun of them. I pray God will give me the vision and passion of my ministry and the sensitivity to hear His voice! God is coming soon and I want to make sure I make it! Let's all go deeper with HIM and not forget what really matters!

AA/AS Graduation

For those of you that don't already know, I graduated last week with my AA and AS from CRC (I actually graduated Fall of 09' but they combine the fall and spring graduates into one ceremony). I had a very nice day.. It started out with work and then when I got off Lucas surprised me with flowers, a sweet card, and a date to Chipotle =) (my favorite place in case you didn't know =). I had a lot of friends and family show up to the ceremony to show their support and sit through a long and freezing cold ceremony! My graduation was outside in the CRC stadium at 7 pm and it had rained that day so it was very overcast and windy :/ Afterwards I had a very small get-together with family and close friends. My parents surprised me with a Macbook Pro and a wireless printer!! Wow! I was totally surprised =) So know that I have graduated I am still pursuing nursing and am waiting to hear back from a few nursing programs.. Say a prayer for me please! =) I will keep you posted on my status.
